Jackson Murphy

Critic of the Month trophy

The critics agree: there’s no better movie critic this month than Jackson Murphy!

That’s right: for our first Critic of the Month award in 2014, we’re recognizing Jackson Murphy of LIGHTS CAMERA JACKSON. Mr. Murphy has all of the qualities we love in a critic: he loves movies and loves to write about them after viewing them!

In honor of his award-winning month of work, we wanted to share several of Jackson’s movie recommendations with you from the past year. This should give you a sense of his impeccable taste:

  • Jackson believes viewers will “fall in love” with Spike Jonze’s Her.
  • On Grudge Match, Jackson writes: “It’s smart and fun to the final bell, which is more than I can say for most fights and movies I’ve watched all year.”
  • Mr. Murphy sees Oscar gold in the future for Wolf of Wall Street, which he says will “deserve Best Picture honors.”
  • As for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Jackson raves: “Print magazines are dying, and in life, we all have to as well.”
  • Finally, Lights really enjoyed Walking with Dinosaurs, calling it “a dramatic, intense, educational family film.”

As you can see, Lights C. Jackson has a broad taste in film. His palette is remarkable, and we recommend you keep tabs on him in the future. This critic is going places … aside from the movies, that is!

Congratulations, Jackson, from all of us here at The Critics Agree!
