God’s Pocket

The critics agree: God’s Pocket is divine!

Betsy Sharkey of The Los Angeles Times writes, “If, like me, you were hoping that God’s Pocket, starring the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in one of his final films, would feature yet another of the actor’s distinctive turns, you are” in luck!

Entertainment Weekly‘s Keith Staskiewicz explains the plot: “A drama-camp owner (Meat Loaf) puts on a revival of the musical that led to his actress wife’s (Minnie Driver) murder, and it seems someone’s looking for a killer encore.”

On star Philip Seymour Hoffman’s performance, Brian Tallerico of RogerEbert.com says this will be “one he’s remembered for.”

The Playlist’s Cory Everett gushes, “There are no shortage of people drinking themselves into a stupor.”

The Telegraph’s Amber Wilkinson compares the film to Philadelphia in her rave-review.
