M. Night Shyamalan’s new film grossed a measly $25.4 million this weekend, making it the third lowest opening of his career. Sure, we’re calling it a failure without factoring in things like the production budget, theater count, and so forth. But Shyamalan should be making truckloads of cash regardless. He’s the Spielberg of Hitchcockian thrillers. $25.4 million is what better movies spend on catering.
