The numbers agree: The Force Awakens may have won at the box office, but it’ll never win our hearts.

While most moviegoers were seeing the new Star Wars sequel over the weekend, we here at The Critics Agree stayed in and revisited the No. 1 film on the all-time highest grossing film list. That’s right, we took a trip to Pandora with James Cameron’s Avatar!

You can have your Jedi, folks. We’ll take the Na’vi any day of the week. Neytiri is the Han Solo for a generation of movie lovers who have their brains firmly placed in the present, not the past.

So, yeah, The Force Awakens may have made $238 million this weekend. But all we see is the $2.5 billion it needs to catch up to the best movie of the past 50 years.
